When the internet goes down
Print the Outage sheet when the clinic opens - a good daily habit.
- While reception, nurse, doctor or admin screens are open, today's list is saved on that computer every 5 minutes: times, names, file numbers, phone numbers and visit types - no notes or results.
- If the internet drops, a red banner appears. Press Open outage sheet, or go to
/outage. - Work on paper: anything typed while offline is not saved. Enter it when the line is back.
A cheap 4G router as a second line avoids most outages. Clinics that cannot depend on the internet can run CareLink on a small computer in the clinic.
